Guilden Sutton Green Space
Following a presentation at the village fete, and an open meeting at the Bird in Hand pub, the Guilden Sutton Green Space project is underway.
A steering group has been formed and we are now looking at how we can turn the idea of a new community green space into reality.
Our aspiration is to create a community owned and managed green space which will increase access to the countryside, provide new opportunities for play and recreation, encourage our sense of community, promote wildlife and biodiversity, and encourage local food production.
There are loads of issues to look into, and even more people to talk to. As soon as we are able, we plan to hold a public meeting at the village hall, and we will be keeping everyone updated with our progress via the village website, leaflet mailings, the Post Office, and Parish notice-boards.
We are working in collaboration with the Parish Council and also hope to be working with the Community Association, other village groups and businesses, St John’s Church and the Primary School and Pre-school.
If you have any queries or comments about the project, or if would like to offer your time or skills in any way, please do get in touch by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org, or by speaking to one of the Steering Group members:
