Hawarden Park

An attractive walk through fields, woods and quiet lanes. A few stiles in the latter part of walk. One short section by the busy road near Hawarden Farm Shop. (Option to stop for coffee just under half way but may be better after walk).

Distance - 5 1/2 miles
Approx. time walking -  2 1/2 hrs
OS Map Landranger 117 (Chester & Wrexham) or Explorer 266 (Wirral & Chester)

Meet at Village Car Park 9.30 am. Travel time approx. 20 min.
Start of Walk 10 am at Free Parking – Hawarden, Tinkersdale car park.

Sat Nav CH5 3DH Please note sat nav takes you past car park – see directions below.

Post Walk refreshments at Glynn Arms Hawarden or Farm Shop.

Directions to car park
I think the best way is to ignore Sat Nav and stay on A55 until Buckley turning. Go Right at roundabout and take the A550 to Hawarden. The Free car park is on the right just after you come into 30mph sign.
If you come the other way from Broughton take the first turning left after the Castle and car park is on your left.

Please reply to Janet at if you wish to come and say whether you will go directly to Hawarden or meet in the Church Lane car park.
